03 / REVIEW

Record attendance

Staff sign in and out. On-site check-ins use location checks; managers review arrivals and exceptions.

Location accuracy depends on the device and browser permissions. Browser pairing is not proof of someone’s identity.

Why Teams Switch to Perimetrr

Less chasing attendance. More context for the people managing it.

Location Checks at Sign-In

Sign-ins are checked against your workspace’s Perimeter. Device location can be inaccurate or manipulated; review exceptions alongside your attendance records.

A Linked Browser for Each Staff Profile

Staff pair their browsers once. Administrators approve changes when someone needs to switch devices.

Works Even Without Internet

Staff in basements or spotty cellular dead zones can still clock in. Records are securely saved on the phone and automatically sync the moment connection returns.

Hybrid Work & Shift Quotas

Manage office vs. remote work days with an easy drag-and-drop schedule. Set daily office capacity limits with live attendance tracking.

      Frequently Asked Questions

The app uses GPS location to verify you're at the office when signing in or out. This checks submitted locations against the workspace Perimeter. Browser location alone cannot guarantee a person's identity or prevent every form of location spoofing.

For Chrome/Android: Tap the lock icon in the address bar → Site settings → Location → Allow.

For Safari/iOS: Go to Settings → Safari → Location → Ask or Allow. Then refresh this page.

For Firefox: Tap the shield icon → Permissions → Location → Allow.

      This usually means:

      • Location services are turned off on your device - enable them in your phone settings
      • You're in airplane mode - turn off airplane mode
      • GPS signal is weak - try moving near a window or going outside
      • Browser doesn't have permission - check browser settings and allow location access

      After fixing, refresh the page.

The app uses GPS perimeter verification to ensure you're within the registered office perimeter. If you're at the office but getting this message:

      • Make sure you're inside the building, not in the parking lot
      • Check that GPS accuracy is high (wait a few moments for GPS to stabilize)
      • Try moving to a different spot with better GPS signal
      • Contact your admin if the office location needs updating

GPS can take 10-30 seconds to get an accurate fix, especially:

      • Indoors or in basements
      • On first load after turning on location
      • In areas with poor satellite visibility

Wait patiently - the status will update automatically once location is verified.

      Buttons are disabled until:

      • You've selected your name from the dropdown
      • GPS location has been verified
      • You're within the registered office perimeter

Once both conditions are met, the buttons will activate automatically.

No, you can only sign in once per day. If you need to sign out and sign back in (e.g., for lunch), you must sign out first before signing in again.

This prevents duplicate attendance entries and ensures accurate tracking.

Each device must be registered to a staff member. This security measure prevents:

      • Staff members sharing devices to fake attendance
      • Unauthorized access to the attendance system

Solution: Use the device that was previously registered to you, or request a device transfer and ask your administrator or authorized Team Lead to approve it.

No. To prevent colleagues from signing in or out for each other, each staff member must use their own registered phone and select their own name.

Browser pairing reduces casual device switching, but cannot prove who is using a phone. Shared invitations and unclaimed staff profiles require administrator oversight.

You can sign in at any time during work hours. However, signing in after the official start time will be marked as "LATE" in the attendance records.

Check with your admin for the specific start time policy at your organization.

Yes! The app works offline. If you have no internet connection:

      • Your sign in/out will be saved locally on your device
      • The entry will show as "Pending sync" in your recent attendance
      • Once you regain internet, it will automatically sync to the server

Offline entries are queued attempts, not confirmed attendance. Keep browser data until sync succeeds; the server can reject an attempt that fails verification.

The app automatically syncs your offline entries when:

      • You regain internet connection
      • You open the app again after being offline
      • The app detects you're back online (every 10 seconds when app is open)

You don't need to do anything - sync happens automatically in the background.

The app uses exponential backoff retry (8s, 16s, 32s, up to 60s). If sync continues to fail:

      • Check your internet connection
      • Make sure the server is accessible
      • Try refreshing the page
      • Your data is still saved locally and will sync when possible

Pending offline entries: These are saved on this browser until they sync. Clearing browser data will remove them, so sync before clearing if possible.

Synced entries: These are safely stored on the server and won't be affected by clearing browser data.

Recommendation: Make sure you're online and the app shows "Synced" before clearing any browser data.

Pairing connects the browser you use for attendance to your staff profile. It helps reduce:

      • Employees sharing devices to fake attendance
      • Unauthorized people signing in from any device

Your administrator creates your profile first. Select your name to pair your browser. If you clear browser data or switch browsers, ask your Team Lead or administrator to approve the change. Your synced attendance records remain available.

      To use a new device:

      1. Open your workspace on the new browser and choose your profile
      2. Request a device transfer
      3. Share the transfer code with an authorized Team Lead, or ask your administrator to review it
      4. After approval, the new browser is linked and the old credential stops being authorized

The old device will no longer be linked to your account.

Use the existing workspace link on your new phone, then:

      1. Install the app on your new phone
      2. Open the app and select your name
      3. Request a transfer and share its code with your Team Lead
      4. After authorized approval, your new browser is linked

Your old phone will no longer be able to sign in as you.

No, each staff member can only be registered to one device at a time. This is a security measure to prevent attendance fraud.

Request an authorized transfer to switch browsers. Attendance on a pending transfer remains provisional until approval; approval resolves only that request’s provisional records.

      Fully supported:

      • Chrome/Edge (Android, Windows, Mac) - Recommended
      • Safari (iOS 14.5+, iPadOS, MacOS)
      • Firefox (Android, Windows, Mac)

      Requirements:

      • JavaScript enabled
      • Location services enabled
      • Allow the browser to save site data

      Android (Chrome):

      1. Open the app in Chrome
      2. Tap the menu (three dots)
      3. Select "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"

      iOS (Safari):

      1. Open the app in Safari
      2. Tap the Share button
      3. Select "Add to Home Screen"

You can also tap the "Install App" button on the signin page if available.

While the attendance page is open, location updates show whether you are inside the Perimeter. Submitted check-ins and check-outs send location to the server for validation and attendance records. Authorized workspace and organization administrators can review relevant records. This is not a background location-tracking service.

If you see an error message:

      1. Read the error message carefully - it usually explains the problem
      2. Check this FAQ for solutions to common issues
      3. Try refreshing the page
      4. Check your internet connection
      5. Make sure location services are enabled
      6. If the problem persists, contact your admin or IT support

The system uses multiple layers of verification:

      • GPS Perimeter Verification: Ensures you're within the registered workplace perimeter
      • Device registration: Prevents unauthorized sign-ins
      • Time stamps: Records exact sign in/out times
      • Attendance review: Pending offline entries are checked when they sync

These checks help administrators review attendance, but browser credentials and GPS are not proof of identity and cannot eliminate fraud. Location can be inaccurate or manipulated.

Yes! The main page shows your last 5 attendance entries in the "Recent attendance" section. For a complete history:

      • Contact your admin for detailed reports
      • Admins can view comprehensive attendance logs and analytics
      • All records are stored securely on the server

Still need help? Contact your admin or IT support.

      Device Pairing • Access Terminal

Enter your organization's Workspace Code (e.g. ABCD-1234) or scan your team invite QR to pair this device.

      or

Ask your HR or operations manager for your company's Workspace Code.

      Request a device transfer

      Staff profile: —

Your administrator or an authorized Team Lead must approve a new device. Until then, attendance from this device is marked provisional—not verified attendance.

Approved requests reconcile only their own provisional records. Rejected requests also reject those provisional records.
